Virtual and hybrid events have proven to be a valuable solution for organizations to deliver measurable impact and results during a time of limited in-person experiences. Now, as attendees’ expectations evolve, virtual event platforms are a necessity to produce engaging, immersive experiences for in-person and remote audiences everywhere.
But what happens after the event? How do you bridge these experiences and keep your content relevant? How can you maximize the impact and provide meaningful lead generation once the event is over?
Our all-in-one event management platform, Zoom Events, not only simplifies virtual event planning and hosting but makes it easy to organize and distribute content - and extend the interactions with your brand - through a digital directory called a Hub.
Zoom Events Hubs are a central repository and digital collection of past, current, and future events and recordings. More than just an event archive, Hubs allow you to categorize content and access events within a single site. Whether you hold a 2,000-person conference or an internal company meeting, Hubs reduce the headaches of tracking multiple links and remove the need to frequently update your privacy settings.
Hubs can be categorized around event types, subject matters, hosts, teams, topics, and even audiences. They’re used to host the actual events as well as store post-event recordings.
Zoom Events hosts will love all they can do using Hubs, including:
Event Hubs fall into two types: External or Internal. Before you create a Hub, you’ll need to decide how much visibility and access you intend for your events to have. External Hubs can host both public and private events. Internal Hubs, however, can only host private events.
Public events typically allow anyone with a registration link to attend an event, whereas private events are better suited for an event with a specific guest list. Because events are hosted from the Hub itself, you’ll want to decide whether an event will be public or private before you launch. There are a few advantages to each Hub type, so here’s a closer look at how to use them.
At Zoom, we use Internal Hubs to host employee-related meetings and events like:
Although these events are different, they all live in Internal Hubs. You can give your all-hands meetings one Hub, and use a different Internal Hub for team-building exercises and continuing-ed webinars. Rather than search the intranet or sort through emails to track down a link to a recorded meeting, employees can go to the designated Internal Hub to access past events on-demand as well as see upcoming events.
As mentioned earlier, External Hubs can host public and private events. You can use the same External Hub to host a large, public trade show as well as a small, private meeting that’s part of the same event. This provides the flexibility to schedule limited events without having to change your Hub’s overall visibility (from External to Internal).
At Zoom, we use External Hubs to host:
As we continue to adapt to a hybrid workforce composed of in-person and remote employees, virtual event platforms like Zoom Events will help you deliver a polished and immersive experience for all of your key stakeholders.
