AB InBev Finds that Zoom Just Works

Anheuser-Busch InBev is the largest and one of the oldest breweries in the world. They are building a company to last, brewing beer and building brands that will continue to bring people together for the next 100 years and beyond. AB InBev consists of global brands like Budweiser, Corona, and Stella Artois, as well as international and craft brews.

“A year and a half ago, we went to the market to examine what’s out there and what’s the art of possible, and we arrived at Zoom … It has been a huge success, especially as we continue to grow as an organization,” said Jay Emery, senior director of global IT enterprise architecture at AB InBev.

AB InBev’s team and stakeholders are spread across the world, so the only way for their team to effectively communicate is via Zoom. Emery’s team started by releasing Zoom as a grassroots effort and it took off within the first month with over 10,000 users. Currently, they are at 25,000 users and growing.

“We look for high-tech breakthrough technologies that we can incorporate in our business to make it better. Zoom is supernatural and easy to use – just download it, click, and you are in. I use it on the airplane, in the car, in Uber or Lyft, in my house, in the office – everywhere,” said Patricio Prini, global VP innovations at AB InBev.

“This was pretty incredible – the speed with which we were able to move and how much value we got out of it,” said Jelena Joffe, global director of innovation strategy and community at AB InBev.

“You just walk in, click touch, and it works,” added Joffe.
