Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) and iCALL

About iCALL

iCALL, Initiating Concern for All, is a pioneering mental health project initiated by the Tata School of Social Sciences in 2012 offering free digitally-counselling services to individuals in emotional and psychological distress through a team of qualified and trained mental health professionals.

Our partnership and impact

India has a large mental health treatment gap with estimates ranging from 75–85%. This means that 200 million people do not receive the treatment they need. This has an especially troubling impact on young people, for whom suicide is the second leading cause of death.

Zoom Cares is supporting iCALL to bridge the mental health access gap by building and launching a completely free and confidential mobile app that gives young people access to critical information about mental health and self-care, tools to manage stress or anxiety, and access to immediate support during distress. The app known as “ReYou” is now available on the Google and Apple stores. Learn more here.
