Overview
The gpaNRW was established on January 1, 2003 as part of the state’s supervision of municipalities in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The gpaNRW assesses municipalities for economic efficiency and compliance, and promotes the development of local self-government. When the state of North Rhine-Westphalia introduced requirements for digital meetings in April 2022, the gpaNRW was tasked with assessing providers for compliance.
